The “Catholic Social Teaching Toolbox” Programme (CST TX) Texts Presented by Student Participants

The 2026 Toolbox cohort was different from the ones that we have had up to now.[1] In the past, the programme was focused on students from Central and Eastern Europe. This year, we opened it up to students from across the whole of Europe. We had a very varied and interesting group: a Slovak man, interested in work-life balance; a Polish woman, interested in the diplomatic role of the Holy See in the Russian-Ukrainian War; an Italian doctoral student working on conspiracy theories in political life; A Dutch woman, preparing to start a doctorate in psychology on sexual harrassment and the #MeToo movement; a Spanish theologian interested in the impact of faith on public life, and a younger Italian student, at the second cycle level, working on the War in the Balkans in the 1990s and the role of the Holy See in its resolution. The papers they present here reflect their interests and, in some cases, reflect on their experience in the Toolbox programme. It is clear that they were all able to gain deeper or different insights into their areas of research by studying the courses offered in the Faculty of Social Sciences by Toolbox. All of them make reference to the importance of Catholic social teaching for their research. For more information see: https://angelicum.it/news/cst-tx-2026/
